Flash Actionscript

In the Software Engineering strand, we use JavaScript and Flash Actionscript to add interactivity to web pages. Several student projects are included below. Click on the image to test each project.

Screen Shot Project Description


This is a "Pong" game with psychedelic graphics that increase the level of difficulty. It was created with Flash and Actionscript.


This is a Tic-Tac-Toe game that was made with Flash and Actionscript.

This is a game in which a space ship shoots at invading martians. It was made with Flash and Actionscript. For the game to function properly, click the mouse on the HTML page that is opened. Use the arrow keys to move the ship and the space bar to fire at the martians.

This project is an MP3 player. When the user clicks on the play button, a predefined MP3 music file will start playing. This player has a new radical look to it. The whole project was done using Flash and Actionscript code from tutorials on www.flashkit.com.

This is a slot machine that was created with Flash and Actionscript. Click the handle to spin the wheel. Images are randomly displayed in the window. If all 3 images match, the user wins money. The user begins with $2,000 and the program keeps track of how much money the user currently has.
This is an interactive slide show that was created with Flash and Actionscript. It allows the user to choose whether they want to view a slide show of mountains, rivers, or forests.
This is a "Mad Lib" that was created with Flash and Actionscript. It allows the user to specify words that they would like to see in a story. However, they don't know what the story will be about. After choosing words, the program inserts them into the story and displays the story.
